LINDSAY, ON – May 2026 — The Lindsay Police Association is pleased to announce the election of Dylan Robichaud as President of the Association, alongside the election of Jeffery Newhouse as Uniform Director.

Robichaud becomes the first civilian member in the history of the Lindsay Police Association to serve as President and has been elected to a four-year term.
Robichaud has worked in a broad range of roles across the Kawartha Lakes Police Service throughout his career and currently serves as the organization’s Communications Supervisor. He was also one of the service’s first Auxiliary members, providing him with valuable insight into both civilian and uniform operations within the organization.
In addition to his experience with the KLPS, Robichaud brings a background in communications, media relations, public engagement, leadership, and government relations, having worked extensively with members of the public, stakeholders, and representatives at all levels of government throughout his career.
Quote from Dylan Robichaud, President of the Lindsay Police Association:
“I am incredibly grateful for the support of the membership and honoured to serve as President of the Lindsay Police Association. Being the first civilian member elected to this role is a meaningful moment, and I see it as an opportunity to continue building a strong, united Association that represents all members with professionalism, fairness, and respect.”
The Association also congratulates Jeffery Newhouse on his election as Uniform Director. Newhouse was elected to fill a one-year vacancy on the Executive.
Newhouse brings a diverse policing and military background to the Executive. He began his service in 2008 with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Military Police member and later served with the Canadian Forces Air Marshal Detail, working in protective and security operations involving government officials, dignitaries, and members of the Royal Family. Following his military service, Newhouse joined Durham Regional Police Service, serving in frontline patrol roles in Oshawa before joining the Kawartha Lakes Police Service in 2019.
Both Robichaud and Newhouse look forward to working alongside the current Executive to continue serving and supporting the membership of the Lindsay Police Association.
The Lindsay Police Association represents both uniform and civilian members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service and is committed to supporting and advocating for its membership while promoting professionalism, wellness, and strong working relationships within the service and community.
